           On Monday 10th October 2011, President of Chulalongkorn University called on a special meeting with acting deans to seek systematic and effective measures to extend relief efforts to people in flood-affected areas. The measures include short-, medium- and long-term plans through strong coordination with related agencies and the CU alumni associations in affected provinces, as detailed below :
 

           Short-term Flood-relief Plans
               o CU agencies and institutes, e.g. the Scientific and Technological Research Equipment Centre and the Petroleum and Petrochemical College, distributed food supplies and donated items to people in Ayutthaya and Lopburi.
               o CU Radio Station helps disseminate useful information on flood prevention measures.
               o A flood relief center was set up at Sala Phra Kiew on 13th October 2011 for volunteers to help pack flood relief items.
               o A flood donation channel has been provided via Siam Commercial Bank, Account name: จุฬาฯ รวมใจช่วยพิบัติภัย (CU Volunteers for Flood Relief) at  the account number of 045-298260-4.
               o CU members and volunteers will go to the affected areas in Amphur Ban Mor, Amphur Don Put, Amphur Nong Khon and Amphur Sao Hai in Saraburi Province, on 16th October 2011.
               o The Faculty of Pharmacy launched the “Num-aey Numjai” project to donate 200,000 cases of immersion foot treatment to flood victims.
               o The Faculty of Veterinary Science joins other institutes to visit affected areas starting from October to December 2011.
               o Activities were arranged on 11th October 2011 at Siam Square and MBK department store to raise funds for flood victims.
               o CU students help pack food and supplies at the flood relief center at the Red Cross Society and the government's Flood Relief Operations Centre at Don Mueng.
               o The telephone hotline, 085-335-9422, has been provided to offer coordination and help flood victims.
 
           Medium- and Long-term Flood-relief Plans
               o To provide a brainstorming session to come up with sustainable and systematic flood-relief plans for flood prevention, emergency warning and restoration in the future.
               o To visit people in the affected areas and provide helps during the aftermath
               o To provide a mobile medical center
               o To provide mental health counseling services
               o To provide assistance to schools and universities in the affected areas
 

           Aside from these measures, Chulalongkorn University will also help its students and personnel suffering from the current flood disaster.
               o For students: financial aids and scholarship and temporary accommodation at the CU student dormitories.
               o For personnel: financial aids and temporary accommodation at Chula Nives, CU student dormitories, etc. and parking areas at Cham Churi 9 and Maha Chakri Sirindhorn buildings.
