With confusion in public communication regarding flooding alerts during the current flood crisis, Chulalongkorn University, as an educational institute that serves as the Kingdom’s source of knowledge, has gathered its academics and specialists in various fields to brainstorm for useful tools for the public. Flood risk self-assessing programs have been created as part of the information technology system for flood risk assessment based on data from the Metropolitan Bangkok Administration to serve as an effective tool for the public to monitor the flooding situation via an online tracking map in which users can search for the flood water level from the following trusted sources:
